Happy "Gotcha Day" Sofi!

We celebrated the one year anniversary of Sofia's adoption finalization with Haley and Jason at our house.  We ate, and Sofia got to dig into a giant cupcake.  We also gave her a few gifts to commemorate the event.  Sofia, we are so blessed to have you in our lives, and we are so thankful to be able to call you ours! We love you!'

Sofi was not a big fan of the bubble beard that we gave the girls in the bath tub. It was pretty funny!

Tanner didn't mind a bit, though!

Photoshoot with Tanner

I took Tanner out one day to scout a location for a client photoshoot that I had coming up and I took a few pictures of her.  She was a really good sport, and lasted a lot longer than I thought she would!  These were taken at almost 2.5 years old, so it was good timing since she was due for some new pictures!

This one was taken a different day around the same time...

Playroom fun

Tanner's friend, Jaxson, came over for a little while one day and they played and played and played. I was happy to get some pictures of Tanner playing in the playroom because I hadn't taken any since we "completed" decorating it. I say that because there are stripes on one wall that will never get finished.  I have to do them all by hand because the texture on the walls makes painter's tape ineffective, so they are likely to get done just as Tanner is leaving for college!

Going running

Tanner decided one day that she wanted to go running, so she put on the reflective vest that Clinton bought me for Christmas and Clinton's running shoes and headed for the door! We really got a kick out of it!

Craft Day

Cassie and I decided to help the girls make gifts for their grandmothers one day. We decided on these stuffed animals. We made these birds and we also made a moose out of felt.  It was fun, and the girls had a good time stuffing their tummies. They kept saying that the stuffed animals were hungry and needed more cotton!  It was a lot of fun!

Fun night

This was a great night.  It was cold outside, and Tanner had just received a package of Tinkerbell items from her Gammie and PawPaw Mac and we were having a blast playing with all of them.  Tanner had everything in the bag on her body, and she put some on me.  I had just gotten home from the gym so I took a shower and when I was done I came out to find that Clinton had moved the dining table into the living room, lit a fire in the fireplace, and poured us a glass of wine. We ate dinner in the living room so we could eat by the fire. It was a lot of fun.

Scarlett's first day home

Scarlett had a welcoming party when she came home from the hospital.  My parents were there, and so were we and YaYa. YaYa had been staying there keeping Sofia so she could be at home instead of in Pleasanton with us.  What a great, great aunt!
This is Tanner seeing Scarlett up close for the first time.  She was curious, and surprisingly very sweet to her.

Erin's Visit

Erin came down to visit and see Scarlett for the first time. We had a great time while she was here. We decided to redecorate Haley and Jason's room to give them a relaxing place to do feedings in the middle of the night or to retreat to when both of the kids are asleep. We spent a full day shopping in New Braunfels and San Antonio. It was so much fun. Tanner and Scarlett went with us and they were both troopers. Tanner wore panties the whole day and didn't have a single accident!! She did a good job. The boys built a custom headboard for the bed once they were off of work, and we were really pleased with how it turned out.

Sofia and Tanner had a great time being goofy together while all of the work was going on.

Tanner put this on all by herself. I thought it was really funny!
Tanner had a good time playing with Erin. She has never been down (that Tanner can remember) without Claire, so it was fun for her to have some one on one time with Erin.

Tanner was being really goofy. It was so funny!

This is the feeding corner that we created.

I got it on camera!

This is the reason that I can't sleep at night when she crawls into our bed, the reason that Tanner could not put herself to sleep for the first 2.5 years of her life......the pinching. I felt like the Crocodile Hunter or something, trying to get a picture of it. The elusive baby pinchers....
