Random Pictures

Here are a few pictures that we snapped of Tanner playing. I thought they were funny!

Clinton put bubbles in the fountain in the front yard and let Tanner play in them. She had a blast!!!

Every time Bobby goes outside he eats grass. Tanner saw him and copied him! Monkey see monkey do!

I came around the corner one day while Tanner was watching Sesame Street and this is what I saw......

On March 27th, Tanner decided that she no longer wanted to be confined to her crib at night! That's right, she crawled out. We were sooo not ready for this to happen yet. I thought we would start to transition her to a "big girl bed" sometime after she turned two, but I guess she had other plans. We took the front off of her crib and turned it into a toddler bed. This worked out fine for awhile. We were actually surprised at how easy she made the transition. Then, two weeks later, she learned how to open doors! Our nights of sleeping were gone at that point. For the last week and a half, we have been up with her 3-5 times each night to put her back in her bed. She gets up and walks all the way to our room, opens our door, and says, "Momma, Daey!" We get up and carry her back to her bed, kiss her goodnight, and go back to sleep wondering when we will have to get up again. In addition, she decided that 6am was now a good time to get up for the day. Needless to say, the last week and a half has been a little tiring. I do have good news to report, however. Last night she put up a fight going to bed, like always, but she slept from 8:30pm to 7:30am without getting out of her bed. Yay!! I hope it continues, so wish us luck for tonight! She was really funny the night that she discovered that she could open doors. At first, she would come into the living room and we would take her back to her bed over and over again. Finally, she got a spanking for getting up again. After that, she would just stand at her door and open and close it saying "Momma, Daey!". We started standing in the hallway at this point, and Clinton got down on her level so she would look him in the eye when she opened the door. She did, and the second that she saw him she slammed it in his face!! She kept opening it to see if we were there and she would slam it again if she saw us. It was really funny! After a few times of seeing his face when she opened the door, she started knocking on the door from her side saying "Momma!!" as if I would come and save her from Daddy. It was really really funny! After that didn't work, she tried some manipulation tactics. She started saying "poopoo" to get us to come and check her diaper. We did once and, sure enough, no poopoo. It was a trick! She is such a little smarty pants! In case you are wondering, it took us 3 hours to get her to sleep that night! It has been better since then, and it now takes us about 15 minutes to get her to give up and go to sleep. I forgot to mention that we moved her to her "big girl room" which used to be the guest room. I haven't decorated it yet, but I will post pictures when I do. It is going to be decorated in a garden theme. Here is a picture of her going to bed in her big girl room for the first time. Please excuse the mismatched pajamas (her daddy got her dressed that night).
I never posted pictures of her old room, so here they are:

A few weeks ago I decided to paint our breakfast nook and I chose an orange color. It was supposed to be a very muted orange but it turned out very very bright! My friend told me that all I needed was some blue trim and I would have a Mexican restaurant! Needless to say, I repainted it. The second color is more of a mustard color. Here are the before and after pics:

Rachel's Wedding

Clinton's sister, Rachel, got married on March 20th. Tanner was a flower girl and she did such a good job! She danced down the aisle at the rehearsal and it was so cute. The day of, though, she just walked straight up the aisle with her basket like she knew exactly what she was doing. She did such a great job! Clinton and I sang "When I Said I Do" and we were glad that it went okay. We were really nervous!! The wedding was great, and we have TONS of pictures. Here are just a few, and yes, it really is just a few!!!

Matthew and Rachel. They are getting married in May.
Tanner loved playing in the bubbles with all of the other kids.
Katherine blowing bubbles.
I snapped this shot of her just as she put cake from some unknown person's plate in her mouth!! Gross!!! She was scoping the place out and made her move when the time was right!

This was after the wedding. She had done her job and gotten her treat!

My mom did the decorating for the wedding and everything looked awesome!

This was a giant "cake" made of boxes to drop cards in. Clever!

We put puffs in her basket. I think she was eating them in this picture!
The flower girls.
Tanner LOVES smelling flowers!
Clinton had to go and fetch her a time or two!
Rachel and her brothers.
Being a flower girl is hard work! She looks exhausted!

Cindy looked very pretty that night.

Smelling the fake petals on the ground...
Mom and I at the rehearsal dinner.

Tanner stole G-Paw's bread at Cafe Annice (I'm not sure if that is how you spell it =))

Cute!

I thought this was pretty cute. She was copying everything he did that night, and he laid down on the floor so she did too!

Play Date With Maddie

We had a play date with Maddie and Cassie and the girls had such a good time. We had grilled cheese sandwiches with red peppers, onions, and mushrooms for lunch, and it was funny because Maddie wouldn't eat hers. Usually, it is Tanner that won't eat things with veggies, but Tanner ate just fine and Maddie wouldn't. We think they conspire and decide which one will be difficult that day!

Tanner was going "nigh nigh"

Our Garage Sale

We had a garage sale with Haley, Jason, Tawny, and Paxton early in March and it was a great success!! Tawny had a refrigerator to sell, and she actually ended up selling it to Haley and Jason! We got started around 6am, even though we weren't supposed to start selling until 8 according to the city. We had people there right after 6, though! We sold almost everything. I even sold the cup that Clinton was drinking out of! He set it down on the table by accident and a lady bought it. I thought that was pretty funny!

The night before, we had a garage sale pricing and assembling party. The guys watched the kids while the girls worked in the garage. It was cute to watch them all in the playroom!
This was the first time I ever did pigtails with Tanner's hair. She looked soooooo cute!! I do it all of the time now!
