At 36 weeks, Haley went into the hospital with high blood pressure. They diagnosed her with pre-eclampsia that Thursday (the day after she was admitted) and wanted her to stay until the following Monday when they thought they would induce her. Instead, she was released the following morning once her high risk doctor was able to see her. He sent her home on bed rest and told her that they wanted to try to get her to 38 weeks. The following Monday, she went to her scheduled doctor's appointment and the re-admitted her to the hospital. At that point, they decided to induce her the following Wednesday. It was a crazy week! We got to keep Sofia some during all of the madness, though, and we had a great time with her!
I thought their expressions were funny in this picture...They loved playing dress up and hopping on the "lily pads"
Tanner loved pushing the buttons on the bed to make it go up and down. Thanks, Haley, for being such a good sport!
Sofi and Tanner had a good time playing on this chair. Sofi was trying to help Tanner put her hood on.
I painted Haley's toenails and Tanner had to have hers done too.
Big cheesy grin!
Haley and Tanner were showing off their bumps! I thought this was so funny!
Going for a walk with Uncle Jason to get out of the hospital room.
This was our dance party that we had in Haley's room the day before she was induced. So much fun!

One last family picture before the big day. Sofi was soooo ready to get out of the hospital!

Haley and Jason's Baby Shower
One of Haley's coworkers, Michelle, was nice enough to throw a baby shower for Haley and Jason at her house in San Antonio. They got a lot of nice things for Scarlett, and we had a great time. Tanner decided to make herself into a present. She was having fun helping open presents but that wasn't enough. She wanted to BE a present! She climbed into the bag and started putting tissue paper on top of herself! It was really funny!
These three were all due within a few days of each other!
Tanner loved to look at Haley's belly. She kept saying that she had a baby in her belly. Sometimes she says that she has a baby cow in her tummy too!
I made the cake. I was a giant baby rattle. I should have taken the card off of the middle so you could really tell, but oh well!

Visit from GiGi and G-Paw
This past weekend was Haley and Jason's baby shower for their new baby, Scarlett, so my parents came in for the weekend and stayed with us so that we could prepare. It was a whirlwind of a week, because Haley was in the hospital with high blood pressure and the doctors kept going back and forth on whether or not they were going to keep her in the hospital and when they were going to induce her. As of right now, she is at home on bed rest and they are going to induce her a week from today, when she is 38 weeks. We spent Saturday getting ready for the shower by cooking and making the cake. I was in charge of the cake and my mom was in charge of the food. We had a great time just hanging out together and talking. While we were working on everything that we needed to do, Clinton and my dad took Tanner and Logan to the children's museum in San Antonio. This was extra fun for them because Tanner is currently potty training and she had an accident on the floor of the museum! Luckily, I had packed extra outfits for her to wear. She has been doing really good with the potty training. She had gone four days without an accident, but then Haley was admitted into the hospital so we watched Sofia for a couple of days and all of the excitement threw her off. Either way, we are persevering and she has done really well today. No accidents yet, except for the number twos. For some reason, she absolutely will not go number two in the potty. We are working on that, but I am so proud of her for doing all of her number ones for now. I'm sure you all care about where Tanner goes to the restroom! However, this is a huge milestone in our household and by far the most inconvenient part of parenting a toddler. They had a great time at the museum, though, accident and all!
Digging for fossilsThis was a huge pipe organ that they got to play with. When you hit the buttons the organ plays a chord.
This was the HEB kids market. They got to go grocery shopping. Clinton said that both kids LOVED it!

Chloe's Birthday Party
Tanner's friend, Chloe, turned 3 in November and we had a great time at her party. The party was at our friends Christel and Ross's house, and the decorations were awesome! Christel did a "Brown Bear" theme and there were animals from the book all over. There were live goldfish on the tables and the kids did a craft project where they created pages that looked like they belonged in the book. Tanner's other friend, Addison, had her 1st birthday party on the same day but I left my camera in the car by accident so I don't have any pictures from it. That day was the day that Haley and Jason had to go to their birth class at the hospital so we had Sofia with us too. We had a great time and Tanner and Sofi had fun spending the day together.
Tanner loves hitting pinatas! She talks about it for days after the party is over!
I liked this picture of Channing coming down the slide.Tawny and Jaxson
The centerpieces...
Tanner LOVED the art project!

Playing with play-doh
Tanner loves playing with play-doh these days. I snapped a few pictures of her making a "castle". It is so interesting to me to watch her imagination work. A castle is a pretty normal thing to want to make out of play-doh, but the fact that she thinks of these things on her own is so amazing to me! It seems like yesterday that she was a tiny baby and now she is a kid that does so many things for herself and uses her imagination so much!
Sometimes I think her tongue does all of the concentrating for her!The finished product.....her castle!
