We had such a great time tonight! We went trick or treating in the neighborhood and went to TWO Fall Festivals! Tanner looked soooo cute, and she really enjoyed seeing all of the kids up and down our street. Speaking of which, our neighborhood was CRAZY!!! I don't even know how to explain how many people come here to trick or treat. There were cars lined up down the street outside of the neighborhood. It was hard to even back out of our driveway to leave. We had a really good time, though. I guess next year we will either stay home and hand out candy after we trick or treat, or start early and go to the Fall Festival before the rush comes. We waited outside for a few minutes for our friends Cassie and JP to get to the house to take pictures of Tanner and Maddy in their costumes and we kept having to tell people that we didn't have candy. It was sad =( We didn't get candy because we thought we would be gone all night. Cassie and JP had a hard time getting to our house because of all of the traffic and people. It really was crazy! Tanner didn't know what to think about her costume. At first she tried to pull it off, but she got used to it pretty quick. Every time she leaned forward, though, her "feathers" on her head would cover her eyes and she couldn't see anything. It was pretty funny! Here are some pictures. They are uploaded from the end of the night to the beginning, rather than the other way around.
This was at the second fall festival that we went to. They had a toddler area with a lot of cars and ride-ons. She was tired by this point, so she wasn't too enthusiastic.
She loved carrying her candy holder like a purse. She carried it around all night. She would dump the candy and put it back in. It was so cute. We saw Christel and Chloe at the first Fall Festival that we went to and Chloe was wearing the same costume. They were twins! Chloe looked really cute!
Cassie bought Tanner some "Halloween" puffs (Cassie tied an orange ribbon around the container) and Tanner was stuffing her face with them in the car.
Tanner and Maddy not wanting a whole lot to do with each other....
They looked so cute from behind!
Maddy was a ladybug
Again with the purse!
This was a sucker that someone gave her. She was trying to bite through the wrapper.
This was another sucker that our backyard neighbors, Elgin and Lana, gave her. She instantly put it in her mouth, wrapper and all, and started sucking on it as if she already knew what to do!
Getting ready to go trick or treating!
Not loving the costume!
The feathers kept falling in her eyes but she never seemed to mind too much.
This is what she wore to school today.

Claire Bear
Here are a few pictures of my niece, Claire. She makes a very very mad face, and I think it is hilarious! I also love the picture of her in her ghost hat!

Pumpkin Carving
Tonight we carved pumpkins and made cookies. Cassie and Maddy came over and brought pizza. We had a great time. The girls rode around in the Cozy Coupe and that was fun to watch. Tanner wasn't in the best mood so I had to hold her while I did everything (make the icing for the cookies, ice the cookies, etc.). The girls had a baby stampede into the kitchen and ran over each other. They both started crying and Cassie had cookie dough all over her hands so I was trying to console both of them for a minute. It was hectic! Needless to say, Clinton was the only one that got any pumpkin carving done until Tanner went to bed. We carved two more when she was finally asleep. If you can't tell from the picture, we put them outside on the rock that surrounds the tree in the front yard.
I thought this was pretty funny!

Well, we haven't had much go on lately, so there's not a whole lot of news to report. We are just waiting for Haley and Jason to get home from Florida and for baby Logan to be born. It will be so nice when both of these things happen. Until then, we will hopefully be doing some things around the house and getting ready for the holiday season. We are getting excited about Halloween. Tanner is going to be a peacock, and her costume is sooooo cute!! Her Gammie and Mac are coming up on Friday and we are going to go trick or treating and then we are going to the Fall Festival at the Jourdanton park that the Cowboy Fellowship is putting on. That should be a lot of fun. I have heard that they have a lot of things for toddlers to do, so Tanner should have a good time. I think we may go to Wurstfest on Saturday and Clinton and I may try to go on a date Saturday night if Randy and Cindy don't mind. We haven't been on a date in a long time!!! Here are a few recent pictures. The ones of Tanner in the cowboy hat were so funny to me because she was playing in the living room and I was sitting on the couch and she decided to go to her room. I let her stay in there for a few minutes by herself and she came out wearing her cowboy hat. It was so funny! It was turned sideways, too, which was even funnier. She just walked around the house wearing it for awhile after that. Too cute!!!

Scrapbooking!!
I completed a spread of some of Tanner's 10 month pictures so I thought I would post it. They go together, so don't be confused by the title being cut off.

Baby Sofia is officially a Mitschke!!! She was born on October 22, 2008 at 7:38pm. She was 6lbs 12oz, and 19 inches long. Although Haley and Jason began caring for her immediately, she officially became a Mitschke on October 23rd around 8:00pm. From what Haley and Jason say, she is a very cuddly baby and loves to be held very close. We absolutely CANNOT wait to meet her!!! Here are a few pictures:

Tanner's 1st Trip to the zoo
Gigi and G-Paw came in this weekend and we went to the San Antonio Zoo. We had a great time! It was really fun to watch Tanner look at all of the animals. You could tell she was really enjoying herself and trying to figure out what all of the new creatures were. She kept calling everything a cat "dat" or a dog "doe". It was really cute. Later that night, G-Paw watched Tanner while my mom and I went to the grocery store. They had a great time. They went outside and played and she laughed when he would spin the football. She gave him "the works", too. He had to change a poopy diaper, and then he went to give her a bath and she peed all over the floor before he could put her in the tub! Way to go, Tanner! They had a great time, though. Here are some pictures from the zoo:
